Rap mogul Chris “Ludacris” Bridges surprised 150 kids at the Thomasville Center of Hope Recreational Center with warm coats, toys, games and arts and crafts yesterday. Thomasville Center of Hope is part of Mayor Kasim Reed's initiative to provide children with academics, sports and character-building programs.
“Every child is receiving a toy and coat," said Luda's mom Roberta Shields, President of the Ludacris Foundation. "While it's wonderful to see smiles when they receive the toys, as a parent I am most grateful that through the Ludacris Foundation’s LudaCares Warm Coat [program], we are helping parents keep kids warm this winter."
Some of you old heads may remember Waka Flocka's mom, Debra Antney (not pictured), organized this event for the Ludacris Foundation for years. Target and DTP donated cash and items for the event this year.
