Atlanta based DJ, and friend of the blog, Don Cannon has been named head of A&R at Island Def Jam Records. Cannon will take over the position from rapper/producer The-Dream, who held the job for less than a year. Cannon, 33, has produced music for rap artists such as Ludacris, Outkast, Young Jeezy, T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, and Rick Ross.
