Shock singer Lady Gaga hoped last night would cap her big comeback after her long hiatus to undergo hip surgery. But Gaga’s well-laid plans of mischief and mayhem for the MTV VMA’s were foiled by young upstart Miley Cyrus, who had plans of her own.
Cyrus, who has twerked her way into the hearts of hoodrats everywhere, hit the stage twerking in a teeny, tiny vinyl bikini. Cyrus’s controversial booty poppin’ shocked veteran actor Will Smith who brought along his two children. After the slutty performance, comedian Kevin Hart quipped, “Miley better get a pregnancy test after all that twerkin’.”
The night’s most memorable moment — at least for Harry Styles fans — was when Styles’ ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift mouthed the words “shut the f*ck up,” when Styles hit the stage.
And emotional rapper Drake got all singsongy when he performed “Hold On, We’re Coming Home,” as Rihanna looked on admiringly. Supposedly Rihanna and Drake had a quiet dinner in New York on Saturday. For his backdrop Drake recreated the sky blue themes of his two album covers for his upcoming album Nothing Was the Same. Drake can’t make up his mind if he wants to be hard for the fellas or go soft for the ladies like Robin Thicke.
