R&B crooner Miguel — best known for his hit single “How Many Drinks” — was arrested for drunk driving on a L.A. freeway early this morning.
TMZ reports that California Highway Patrol officers pulled over the 27-year-old singer’s 2013 BMW X6 around 2:15 AM for speeding. Police also noted that Miguel was driving with dark tinted windows — a misdemeanor.
During the traffic stop, police detected the odor of marijuana and alcohol on Migurl’s breath. Miguel failed a field sobriety test.
Miguel, whose real name is Miguel Jontel Pimentel, blew a .10 and .11 on the breathalyzer tests. The legal limit in California is .08.

Miguel was then arrested for DUI and booked into jail. He was released a few hours later on $5,000 bail, TMZ reports.
His court date is scheduled for September.
