A California judge ordered Chris Brown to spend 90 days in a residential treatment facility for either drug treatment or anger management. The order came down during a probation status hearing just moments ago in a LA courtroom. Brown, 24, was also ordered to submit to periodic drug testing.
As you know there are rumors that Brown entered a drug rehab facility under the pretense that he was receiving therapy for anger management following his arrest for assaulting a fan in D.C. Brown’s handlers denied the rumors, saying Brown was under a great deal of stress and he was not taking drugs. But a well-connected insider said Brown is addicted to drugs “real bad.”
From ET Online:
According to the Associated Press, Brown was ordered to 90 days in a residential treatment facility and at least 24 hours of community labor per week. He will also be subjected to periodic drug testing.
The singer was in court on Wednesday to update the judge on the probation he received for his 2009 assault charge stemming from a physical altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Following his arrest for purportedly assaulting a man in D.C. in October, Brown admitted himself to a rehab facility for anger management, but left the facility a few weeks later.
Brown is due back in court for another hearing on December 16.
