Paul Walker

The production team behind the Fast & Furious movie franchise released a moving tribute to actor Paul Walker, 40, who was incinerated along with a friend in a single car accident in California last weekend.

Predictably, the coroner’s report listed the cause of Walker’s death as “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries” from the high speed impact and the fire that engulfed the $450,000 Porsche Carrera GT that Walker was riding in.

According to the coroner’s report, Walker initially survived the violent impact, but he died “within seconds” after the crash.

Walker and his financial adviser, fellow car enthusiast Roger Rodas, 38, had just left a fundraiser at Rodas’ custom car shop in Valencia, Calif., when the crash occurred. Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash.

Police say Rodas, who was behind the wheel, was driving over 100 mph in an industrial area that is a known drag strip.

The song in the tribute is “Coming Home,” performed by J. Cole and Skylar Grey.

    I’m coming home

    I’m coming home,

Tell the world I’m coming home

Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday

I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes.
