I was entertained by the show. Didn’t like how she broke off the married dude at the end WITH his wedding ring on.
At least take that chit off dude. I think that wife showing up in that white suit, slaying ’em + her being used as a pawn to exploit that old couple (pretty sure that hurricane took them out of the game :dead:) + old dude pulling the shades back on her game and taking out his other action, left her feeling a lil vulnerable. But that’s when she should have pulled out her desk drawer vibrator and kept it moving.

It was a good show. Gabby fits Mary Jane. I know understand what she meant when she talked with Oprah about missing out on Olivia Pope. Good show
Gabbys has no range with her acting so basically she is sleeping with a married man (life imitated art) and she is financially helps her family…same roles she just added some knock off scandal flare…not interested
I actually stayed tuned into the show. I wanted to see Omari’s butt cheeks or something though. Whew, that’s a fine man right there. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Her other dude was sexy too, but in a different way. I’d watch again.
I’m no GU fan at all. I too think she only has one mode no matter if she’s doing comedy, drama, or horror. Her face and emotion stays the same. THe cast is interesting. And yes, Mara Akil has been in the game for a minute, so I try to support anything she produces, with the exception of the Sparkle remake. 10 minutes in and I was over it.
SouthernPrincess and Pointhimout You both are correct. There is no range in her emotions. She has a dull personality so her acting skills is flat.
I think being a rape victim has robbed her of her ability to connect to her vulnerability which is what an actress needs to bring life and believability to a character and script. Thus, she is stuck playing the same type of character in all of her movies.
