Former Xscape lead singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris revealed her real hair in New York today. Tiny grew tired of wearing cumbersome hair weave tracks and hair extensions. So she asked her stylist to cut and style her own healthy hair that grows from her scalp. Tiny has a beautiful head of hair, as evidenced by these photos she posted on her social media accounts.
It’s too bad more black women aren’t proud of their own tresses. More and more young black women are turning to hair weave and wigs due to self-hate issues or because they can’t afford the weekly costs to maintain their own hair.
