Emma Watson has 99 problems and a stalker is one. The 24-year-old “Harry Potter” actress has dealt with stalkers since she was 16.
In 2012, a man approached Watson in the woods where she was filming “Noah” in Oyster Bay, Long Island. Watson recognized the man who had been lurking outside her house. Her sudden screams attracted security who ran the guy off.
Watson also received threatening letters on the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island last year. The university provided their superstar student with security.
When Watson graduated from Brown on Saturday, she was was shadowed by a woman who also wore a cap and gown. The woman stood out among the fresh faced graduates because she was quite a bit older than them and she was the only one wearing a holstered gun and a badge.
When queried about the undercover cop participating in the commencement exercises, Brown officials had no comment.
Watson began her studies at Brown in 2009, the same year she was named the highest-grossing actress of the decade by the Guinness Book of World Records. She earned a degree in English literature.
Watson’s recent movies include the Biblical epic “Noah,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “This is the End.”
