In last night’s episode of VH1’s scripted TV series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Mimi Faust learns her boyfriend, Nikko, is married. That’s funny. My friend who grew up with Nikko doesn’t recall him mentioning a wife. But I keep forgetting this is a scripted TV series with some of the worst acting in the brief history of reality TV.

The doc tried to give me an emergency c section with the boy because his heart rate dropped a bit. She was like
I was like :stop: let’s give it an hour. Another doctor was coming on schedule in an hour and I was trying to stall anyways cause she seemed young. They are so quick to snuip snip and prescribe something. I called my mom and she was like 
so I knew I was doing the right thing as long as he wasn’t declining rapidly. By the time the other doc showed up he was doing fine and I delivered regularly shortly after. You can’t let them push you into something you don’t have to do IF you have options. The female deoc was pissed I wouldn’t do the c section but F HER it was my body and my child. I delivered all of them just fine.

That would be true if women didn’t have a CHOICE on whether to give birth or not. But they do. They CHOOSE to give birth. Having a baby isn’t an inevitable consequence of having sex.
Women decide give birth with the knowledge the government will steal money on their behalf. If women had to support their own decision to give birth, they wouldn’t give birth. Stand behind your own decision.

In regards to you specifically if your husband participated and agreed to have a baby, he should help support it.
Hypothetically (i.e. in a broader sense no in reference to you) if he didn’t participate nor agree to have the baby, he shouldn’t have to support it because that would have been her sole decision. As her SOLE decision, it should be her SOLE responsibility.

but in our culture they have found over and over again that we do them too much…often just bc a doctor prefers them. Not bc the baby is breech, or in distress. Its become habit, they were trained that way…or they afraid of lawsuits if a mom presents with problems.
The studies I have been following show that hospitals literally around the corner and down the street from one another with the same kind of patients, mind you, meaning similar budgets…they have VERY different rates. Thats a problem if you can go two blocks over and save 20k. SN: My sister is having another baby.
