Kelly and George Samson

A Terre Haute, Ind. couple is dead in an apparent murder-suicide hours after their wedding, the NY Post reports.

Wedding guests who attended an after-party at the home of 54-year-old George Samson and 50-year-old Kelly Ecker Samson noticed they weren’t speaking to each other hours after their wedding and reception.

Police say George Samson left the reception early after becoming irritated. Kelly Samson arrived at the home sometime later.

Kelly Samson made several panicky 911 calls to report George Samson was threatening to kill her and he had guns in the home. But police say she transposed 2 numbers in the home address and responders couldn’t find the house.

The Samsons moved into the home together over the summer (several months).

In her last call to 911 at 1:27 a.m. Kelly Samson screamed, “Oh my God, he’s got…” before shots rang out and the line went dead.

Deputies arrived to find Kelly Samson dead of multiple gunshot wounds in a bedroom. George Samson’s body was found in the basement. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Only George Samson’s parents and Kelly Samson’s young son were at the home when the violence erupted.

Police say they may never know what triggered the bloodshed.

George Samson was an anesthesiologist at Terre Haute’s Union Hospital, where Kelly Samson worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room.

Police found about 100 guns inside the home. George Samson was a licensed arms dealer.
