Rihanna named creative director for Puma

Yodeling singer Rihanna has a new source of income now that her albums are no longer selling like they used to.

According to published reports, the 26-year-old Bajan was named Puma’s new creative director. That’s not the same as being a spokesmodel or the new face of the Puma brand. Rihanna actually has a 9-5 job with the sportswear giant.

From MTV News:

So, um, Rihanna has been named creative director of Puma. While there were rumors circulating last month of a deal being inked, the news was confirmed this morning by WWD and Puma. Rih is going to oversee the women’s line, and will help “customize classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio,” Puma revealed today.

Rih teased the news on Instagram this morning, captioning this photo, “Hello #PUMA.” Man, this explains why she was so into Germany at the World Cup, eh?

I wonder how other, more qualified job applicants feel about a high school dropout taking food out of their children’s mouths.
