Amy Pascal and Scott Rudin

Sony Studio co-Chairman Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin have been exposed as racists in embarrassing emails leaked online by hackers this week.

According to Variety, Pascal and Rudin exchanged emails trashing mega-star Angelina Jolie-Pitt and the president of the United States. The pair called Jolie “a spoiled brat,” and they joked about President Barack Obama watching only black movies.

According to Buzzfeed, Pascal asked Rudin for advice before going to an Obama fundraiser hosted by DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg, particularly what she should ask the President “at this stupid Jeffrey breakfast.”

“Would he like to finance some movies,” responded Rudin.

“I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?” said Pascal, with Rudin replying “12 YEARS.”

“Or the butler. Or think like a man?” continued Pascal, who is a major donor for the Democratic party and President Obama.

“Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart,” said Rudin.

In an email to Rudin said the “private emails between friends” were “written in haste” and without much thought that his ignorance would ever see the light of day, and for that he is “profoundly” sorry:

‘“Private emails between friends and colleagues written in haste and without much thought or sensitivity, even when the content of them is meant to be in jest, can result in offense where none was intended,” he told Deadline. “I made a series of remarks that were meant only to be funny, but in the cold light of day, they are in fact thoughtless and insensitive — and not funny at all. To anybody I’ve offended, I’m profoundly and deeply sorry, and I regret and apologize for any injury they might have caused.”’
