@Clorox stirred up a hornet’s nest on social media platform Twitter.com last night by tweeting what appeared to be a whitewashed bottle of Clorox along with the caption, “New emojis are alright but where’s the bleach.”
Clorox was referring to Apple releasing its new iOS 8.3 with an updated list of new multicultural (minorities) Emojis.
Black Twitter’s backlash against @Clorox’s initial tweet was just as puzzling as the tweet itself.
Soon, @Clorox and its whitewashed bottle was trending on Twitter.
Then @Clorox followed up that genius publicity stunt with another head scratching tweet that implied @Clorox was referring to cleaning up the new black emojis.
I admit I was just as confused as you are at all the rage directed at @Clorox’s initial Tweet.
