Aging hip hop magnate Shawn “Jay Z” Carter is extending his dominance in the world of sports.
The 47-year-old Roc Nation Sports founder has launched a new sports radio talk show hosted by Roc Nation client and WNBA star Skylar Diggins.
If you recall, Jay Z famously purchased a new Mercedes Benz for his voluptuous client in 2013. The gift sparked rumors of infidelity on Jay Z’s part.
According to sports blogger Stiletto Jill, 40/40 Live will focus on sports, music and the trappings of fame. The show will be based inside Jay Z’s failing sports bar 40/40 Lounge in NYC.
“JAY Z’s The 40/40 Club in Manhattan is the setting for this exciting new talk show,” MarketWatch.com reports. “Produced in collaboration with JAY Z’s Life + Times and hosted by WNBA point guard Skylar Diggins, 40/40 Live blends the worlds of hip hop and sports celebrity to provide a fresh and unfiltered conversation around sports, fame, music and more.”
In addition to being hosted by Diggins, “40/40 Live” will also feature a variety of celebrity guests.
According to Jill, Skylar is looking for a co-host or blogger — preferably someone with a sports background.
