Black Twitter has started a petition to oust veteran DJ Funkmaster Flex from Hot 97.
Flex was supposed to drop Meek Mill‘s answer to Drake‘s diss track, “Charged Up” at 7 p.m. Monday on his radio show. But the appointed hour came and went, and Flex only dropped bombs.
Flex got the scoop on everyone Friday when he dropped the demo track for Drake’s “10 Bands” recorded by Drake’s supposed ghostwriter Quentin Miller.
It was only fitting that Flex be the one to introduce Meek’s response to the wall.
Fans of both Drake and Meek Mill tuned into Hot 97 hoping to hear the promised diss track. But 7 p.m. came and went with no Meek Mill or the track.
Within minutes, Flex’s Twitter timeline looked like a crime scene. Outraged rap fans promised to hunt him down and make an example out of him.
What was Flex thinking? Was it just a hoax to drive up the ratings for his radio station?
