Grimy skateboard rapper Wiz Khalifa was tackled to the floor by U.S. Customs Officers when he refused to step down off his hoverboard at Los Angeles Airport this past weekend.
Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, was riding the hoverboard through the terminal, which is against the rules because he might hurt someone.
So the officers politely asked Khalifa, 27, to stop riding the hoverboard, a sort of skateboard/scooter hybrid which doesn’t actually levitate off the ground.
In videos posted on Twitter.com, we get to see a snarky Khalifa test his celebrity status with the officers (it didn’t work).
“You can’t do nuffin anyway… What you gon’ do? Put me in jail?” he said as he towered over the officers.
Within seconds, Wiz was thrown face down on the floor and cuffed by LA’s finest who shouted “STOP RESISTING!”
Normally those are the last 2 words cops tell an unarmed black man before they blow his brains all over the floor. But there were too many witnesses — and, well, black lives do matter.
Moral of the story is: when you are surrounded by 4 or 5 cantankerous police officers who are barking orders at you, never say “What you gon’ do? Put me in jail?”
All because I didn't want to ditch the technogy everyone will be using in the next 6 months. Do what you want kids. pic.twitter.com/7F0KIQgFrA
