Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian is finally coming clean about her relationship with former NBA star Lamar Odom. As I told you previously, Kartrashian and her boyfriend, NBA star James Harden, are still communicating through texts and phone calls — even though she called off her divorce from Odom last week.

Kartrashian, 31, now admits that she is only at Odom’s bedside for the TV ratings — and not because she’s interested in reuniting with the cocaine addict.

“It’s out in the media that we are back together, but I wish people understood that’s not in our thought process right now,” Kartrashian told People magazine in an exclusive interview.

She added:

“It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now. There is a very long road ahead of him, and he has to walk that road by himself. But I’ll be there supporting him every step of the way. It’s not anything sexual or intimate. I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it’s the same, except I’m here supporting him fully.”

Most of us predicted this would happen as soon as the TV satellite trucks were gone and the paparazzi packed up their gear and left.

Odom is currently in the ICU step-down unit at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where Odom is being treated for a drug overdose and kidney failure.

Odom, 35, was found unresponsive on Oct. 6 in a VIP room at a Nevada brothel after a 3-day drug, sex and alcohol-fueled binge.

Several strokes left him partially paralyzed below the waist and unable to speak coherently. Odom’s aunt, JaNean Mercer, says the former LA Laker has made great strides and he is now able to stand with assistance and his speech is improving.
