Fox News took the unusual step of suspending 2 contributors for stating their opinions about President Obama.
Republican contributor Stacey Dash, 48, and Lt. Col. Ralph Peters were both suspended for 2 weeks for comments they made about President Obama’s Oval Office speech on Sunday.
Dash, a regular guest on Fox News’ daytime talk show “Outnumbered.” said Obama rushed through his speech like he wanted to get to a party afterward.
“It’s ridiculous. His speech was an epic fail,” Dash said on Monday’s show. “I did not feel any passion from him. I felt like he could give a sh–, excuse me, like he could care less.”
Dash later apologized for her comments.
Fox commentator Lt. Col. Peters called Obama a “total pussy” on the Fox Business Network on Monday.
“I mean this guy is such a total pussy, it’s stunning,” he said.
Bill Shine, Fox’s senior executive vice president of programming, released a statement announcing the suspensions.
“Earlier today, FOX contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air. FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.”
