A transsexual male who once dated Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps now blames the star swimmer for his suicide attempt.
Taylor Lianne Chandler said he attempted suicide after Phelps rejected him when he found out Chandler was born a man.
“Michael was the reason I attempted suicide,” said the 43-year-old who supported himself by appearing in p0rn films. “He has never denied our relationship, but he’s never publicly acknowledged it, which hurts worse.”
According to published reports, Phelps, 30, met Chandler on the dating app Tinder in late 2014.
Chandler, who was born David Roy Fitch, said he hid his transsexualism from Phelps because he feared Phelps would reject him.
Oddly, Chandler announced his “relationship” with Phelps on social media before confiding in Phelps that he was transsexual.
Phelps abruptly cut off all contact with Chandler, who had a hard time getting over the rejection.
Chandler told the National Enquirer, “I was in pain, and felt I had no reason to live. After being depressed for several days, on Oct. 14 I took about 50 morphine tablets, Ambien, Xanax and Valium.”
Chandler entered rehab for treatment of his drug addiction, and he is now trying to cope with the pain of losing Phelps.
“I’m still not over him,” Taylor said. “I would like to talk to him one last time to have closure. But now I realize he isn’t worth dying over.”
Chandler told Radaronline.com that he was born intersex, but he provided no evidence of his claims.
“I was born with male genitalia with no testicles, but I also have a uterus and no ovaries,” he told Radaronline.
