Rapper Boosie BadAzz shocked the hip hop world when he announced that he was diagnosed with kidney cancer recently. Boosie made the announcement on Instagram.com. He quickly deleted the post, but his announcement left many unanswered questions.
Such as how can he be diagnosed with bilateral kidney cancer and he's still on tour?
Something didn't add up. Some insiders whispered that Boosie was lying about his cancer diagnosis. But who does that?
Boosie put all the speculation to rest when he announced he was going in for surgery to have one or both kidneys removed today (Dec. 8).
If he has one kidney removed he can live with just one kidney. But if both kidneys are removed, he will require kidney dialysis for the rest of his life.
A diagnosis of bilateral kidney cancer (in both kidneys) is extremely rare. There is usually a genetic/hereditary link (someone else in the family was diagnosed with kidney cancer). Genetic testing will tell you if you are at risk for the hereditary form of kidney cancer.
Pray for Boosie.
