Melissa Harris-Perry

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry attacked the NY Times for showing the uncovered face of female terrorist Tashfeen Malik.

Malik, 28, and her husband Syed Farook, 27, gunned down 14 people and wounded 21 others in San Bernardino, CA on Wednesday. The couple later died in a fierce gun battle with police.

Harris-Perry said publishing Malik’s picture without a veil covering her face “amounted to an indictment on the Muslim culture as a whole.”

Hashein Said, a producer for Al Jazeera America, tweeted, “Come on ABC… the family attorney says #TashfeenMalik wore a burqa that covered her face, and you’re putting out pictures of her without it?”

He later apologized for the tweet.

In related news, the FBI is investigating a $28,500 cash deposit into Farook’s bank account from Webbank.com, just days before he and his wife went on a shooting rampage.

Farook later withdrew $10,000 in cash and made a series of cash transfers totaling $15,000 to his mother, Rafia Farook.

The FBI is investigating whether Farook used the 10K to purchase 2 semiautomatic assault rifles from an ex-roommate. The former roommate is cooperating with police.

The 9/11 terrorists also made large cash transactions in the days before the World Trade Center attacks.
