A Dollar General employee was arrested and charged with forcing two female shoplifters to perform sexual favors against their will.
Robert Lindlau, assistant manager of a Dollar General store in Clarksville, Tennessee, was indicted on two counts of rape, the NY Daily News reports.
Lindlau, 38, was arrested on Tuesday at his Clarksville home.
The two women, ages 44 and 22, told police Lindlau escorted them to a back room where he ordered them to strip and perform oral sex on him.
He told them they had sufficient time because he called the cops but police usually took about an hour to show up.
Police said no call was placed to 911 from the store during the March 2015 incident.
Afterwards, Lindlau told the women to get dressed and he allowed them to leave with some of the items they attempted to steal.
Police said the two women “were in fear for their safety and felt that they had no choice but to comply with Mr. Lindlau’s demands.”
Police want to know if Lindlau is a serial rapist. Anyone involved in similar incidents with the Dollar General rapist is asked to call Clarksville Police Department at 931-648-0656 Ext. 5269, or CrimeStoppers at 931-645-TIPS (8477).
