Reality TV star Draya Michele and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick are expecting their 1st child together.
The on-again, off-again couple recently reunited last year.
Draya’s rep confirmed the baby news to People magazine, exclusively.
“I’m not sure what made me decide to take a home pregnancy test, but I decided on taking two at the same time!” Michele told People.com. “They were both positive and I was instantly excited.”
The 30-year-old former Basketball Wives star is also mom to 13-year-old Kniko, who famously subsisted on TV dinners on the nights his mom worked at a strip club to make ends meet.
Scandrick, 28, is a father to 6-year-old twin daughters Taylor and Tatiana, according to People.
“We made an appointment to see the sex of the baby for 16 weeks, but surprisingly at 12 weeks, our doctor was able to see that he was a boy,” said Michele. “Technology and ultrasound machines are much more advanced then 13 years ago when I had my first child.”
Michele said she waited until she was well into her 2nd trimester to break the news — even though the blogs got the jump on her.
“I wasn’t sick for longer than three weeks and I’ve been dieting and keeping up with cardio to keep my weight down,” she said. “I really enjoy nap time since I’m still working full time.”
Michele, who is currently unemployed, has no plans to be a housewife.
I plan on working on the 2016 summer collection of Mint Swim and I have a few movies premiering as well as a TV show,” she explains. “I’m a very busy lady and I love taking my bump to work with me.”
