Bystanders and pedestrians were offered envelopes full of cash to fill seats at Kanye West‘s grandiose and uninspiring Yeezy Season 3 fashion show at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
After one fan said he was forced to work for free, some of the seat fillers took to Twitter.com to post pictures of their envelopes stuffed with cash.
For the trolls who are lying about not being paid for #YeezySeason3 we were all given envelopes with money in them. pic.twitter.com/lUx1QbeOpu

“For the trolls who are lying about not being paid for #YeezySeason3 we were all given envelopes with money in them,” tweeted Shakti Lama, who goes by the username Evolve2Exist on Twitter.com.
Shakti responded to an unfortunate seat filler who was coerced into working for Kanye for free.
“Kanye finessed 1200 black young adults into working for free to a sold out white crowd that was screaming “all day nigga,” wrote Instagram.com user @kurents, who added: “We didn’t find out we weren’t getting paid until 6 a.m.”
The seat fillers were reportedly paid up to $80 to sit for 8 hours and clap on cue when West took to the podium and introduced his new fall 2016 collection.
