If she has her way, Kim Fields may not return to Real Housewives of Atlanta next season.
Fields, 46, was not pleased with her 1st stint as a cast member on the once popular reality TV show that is declining in the ratings.
Among her complaints, the former child star was not amused at cast members calling her husband gay.
Fields told the Rickey Smiley morning show Monday that, despite signing a seven-year contract, she is done after one season on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The mother-of-2 compared herself to NFL quarterback Brett Favre who abruptly retired from the NY Jets in 2008 after suffering an injury.
“It feels more like Brett Favre and the Jets. I’m done,” Fields told Smiley. “It was for the experience. I was able to do a genre I’ve been asked to do before and finding a way that made sense for my team and my family. Overall, it was a really great experience.”
“Housewives” producers reportedly canceled the last remaining episodes of RHOA after TV ratings took a nosedive.
Season 9 taping begins this summer, but producers may cut episodes again as a cost-cutting measure. Rumors are also swirling that several cast members will not return.
An insider tells Sandrarose.com to expect a transgender cast member to hold a peach next season. Bravo is feeling the pressure to add a tranny to the cast after Mona Scott-Young cast transgender music producer D. Smith on the new season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
