DF wants to be legally responsible for them but donor, who doesn’t want to be responsible consistently, also won’t let his rights be terminated by adoption. It’s an ego thing because he clearly doesn’t care about what’s best for them. The name change was Dragon14’s idea so hopefully the judge will consider their feelings more than anything else. They already said if the judge says no then when they turn 18 they’re going to change their last names anyway ?

I was like, I came, I gave my condolences to his family, I caught So-so (co-worker) who passed out in front of the casket while standing next to me, I cried and then I went home. I said, what did y’all do after I left, did someone get up and say something, she was like, no we just sat there crying.
