It’s fair to say OKC fans are angry at Kevin Durant for jumping ship to the Golden State Warriors.
Durant, 27, signed a $54 million, 2-year contract with the Warriors. The former NBA Most Valuable Player stacks the deck on a team that already boasts a 2-time NBA MVP (Steph Curry).
Cleveland Cavaliers fans only burned LeBron James‘s jerseys when he decided to take his talents to South Beach in 2010.
But a few OKC hotheads went to the extreme by blasting Durant’s jersey to smithereens with assault rifles when he left.
“You leave us…We leave you!” one guy wrote in the caption of a video uploaded to Twitter.com.
While fan outrage can be over the top, many argue that Durant is selfish for chasing a NBA ring in Oakland instead of building his legacy in Oklahoma City where fans supported him for 9 seasons.

I wish Durant would have stuck around like the plastic this jersey was made out of pic.twitter.com/jhl7iLuy4e
