A psychotic man who attacked two women with his excrement was arrested Thursday evening at a NYC homeless shelter.
A tip led NYPD officers to the Samaritan Village homeless shelter on Myrtle Ave, where they arrested Ekwan Hill, 42, at about 6 p.m. the NY Daily News reports.
Hill attacked two women in the span of four hours in Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Monday.
He was seen in surveillance video roughly shoving a bag of his feces down the back of one woman’s shorts.
In another incident, Hill flung his feces at a 33-year-old woman, hitting her in the face. The woman was uninjured.
A security guard at the homeless shelter recognized Hill from the surveillance video and called police.
Residents and staff at the shelter described Hill as a “deranged” man with bad body odor, who constantly talked to himself.
“He’s really borderline delirious — bad body order, talks to himself, keeps to himself,” a resident named Worthy told the News. “Those feces he threw was probably his own. He’s an outcast type of dude.”
Worthy said Hill was calmly eating dinner when police arrived to cuff him and take him away.
“He was cool, calm and collected and just walked into the (police) car.”
Hill had been a resident at the shelter for about 10 months, sources told the News. Police found the clothing he was wearing in the surveillance video in his locker at the shelter.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce called Hill “completely deranged.”
