Tallahassee police identified 25-year-old Tavon Q. Jackson as a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a Walgreens pharmacy employee on Tuesday.
Jackson is wanted in the fatal stabbing of Javona Glover, the mother of his 2-year-old daughter.
Glover, 23, was stabbed to death during an argument outside the Walgreens where she worked Tuesday morning.
Police responding to a 911 call found Glover bleeding profusely on the pavement. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police released still images from surveillance footage taken inside the pharmacy at West Tennessee Street and Ocala Road.
The images show a black male with dreadlocks, wearing a black t-shirt, black and white shorts and black sneakers. He is described as 5′ 9″, weighing 160 pounds.
Rapper T-Pain tweeted an impassioned plea for the public’s help in finding the “coward ass nigga” who killed his niece.
Later, the 30-year-old rap producer thanked his fans and the public for their support. He also tweeted a message for news media outlets to “leave my family the f_ck alone.”
Photos on Glover’s Facebook page shows the couple with their daughter in happier times.
Walgreens released the following statement on Tuesday:
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our team member. The store is temporarily closed while police conduct their investigation and we refer you to police for any additional information. Pharmacy patients who normally use this location can have their medications filled at our 24 hour store located at 3531 Thomasville Road.”
