Don’t expect to see Katt Williams performing near you if you live in Hall or Dawson Counties in north Georgia. The 45-year-old troubled comedian accepted a plea deal that bans him from his home county and a neighboring county north of Atlanta.
According to the AJC.com, Williams pled no contest on Thursday to charges that he assaulted his former bodyguard.
Williams and two female acquaintances are accused of assaulting Corey Dixon on Feb. 28, in Gainesville, GA. Deputies executing search warrants at his home found massive quantities of marijuana and several guns, the AJC reports.
The Hall County District Attorney’s Office dropped the aggravated assault and firearm possession charges as part of the negotiated plea deal, the Gainesville Times reports.
Williams is ordered to stay out of Hall and Dawson counties and he must pay $7,500 in restitution to the victim and perform 100 hours of community service.
The marijuana charge will be dismissed if he abides by the conditions of his 5-year probation.
Williams still faces criminal charges in other incidents in the Atlanta area.
