A Brooklyn lawyer and his life partner were escorted off a JetBlue plane at John F. Kennedy airport on Thursday morning. The crew kicked the pair off the plane for verbally accosting Ivanka Trump.
Ivanka, 35, her husband Jared Kushner and their 3 children were settling in for a peaceful 9-hour flight to Hawaii when suddenly Dan Goldstein began berating her.
“Your father is ruining the country!” Goldstein said, referring to President Donald Trump, who isn’t in office yet.
Ivanka and her family had been escorted on the plane by Secret Service prior to everyone else boarding.
“Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5,” Goldstein’s partner, Matthew Lasner, tweeted.
“My husband chasing them down to harass them #banalityofevil,” he tweeted.
Once on the plane, Goldstein, who was holding a child, began making a scene.
“Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private,” he reportedly shouted.
JetBlue flight attendants quickly intervened and escorted Goldstein and Lasner off the plane.
“My husband expressed displeasure in a calm tone, JetBlue staff overheard, and they kicked us off the plane,” tweeted Lasner, who is a professor at Hunter College in NY.
“You’re kicking me off for expressing my opinion?” Goldstein reportedly asked the crew.
JetBlue later issued a statement saying the pair were booked on the next flight out of JFK.
“The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly,” JetBlue said later Thursday.
“If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight,” the airline said.
“In this instance, our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight.”
