Texas women arrested

UPDATE: The Fort Worth, Texas cop has been placed on desk duty.

Jacqueline Craig, 46, and her daughter are in a Fort Worth, Texas jail after they were arrested for reporting a neighbor who assaulted Craig’s 7-year-old son.

As one of her daughters recorded with her smart phone, Craig told the arriving officer that the neighbor choked her son for throwing paper on his property.

The cop can be heard on video calmly asking Craig, “Why don’t you teach your son not to litter?”

The cop suggested the neighbor was within his rights to protect his property from litter.

Craig was understandably upset by the cop taking the man’s side in the dispute.

As tensions escalated, the cop warned Craig to stop yelling at him or she would be arrested.

Craig’s teenage daughter stepped forward to calm her mother down, but the cop grabbed the teenager and a tussle ensued. The cop bodily threw Craig to the ground and cuffed her.

After cuffing Craig, the cop drew his taser and threatened to tase the teenager who was screaming.

The video was uploaded to Facebook.com where it went viral as Facebook users reacted with rage at the false arrest. The incident is under investigation by the police department’s internal affairs.

Only in America.
