Troubled musician Kanye West returned to the public eye with a new blond hairdo. The 39-year-old rap producer attended a private event for his friend Rick Owens, who designs custom furniture.

West, who reportedly suffered a mental breakdown after canceling his Saint Pablo tour, was accompanied by Owens’ wife Michele Lamy.

West checked himself out of the psyche ward at UCLA Medical Center 6 days after a 72-hour psychiatric hold expired.

He supposedly suffered from depression, paranoid delusions, and something called a “temporary psychosis”.

It’s important to note that West was diagnosed by a “house call” doctor who is not a trained mental health professional.

The circumstances surrounding West’s mysterious hospital admission led some to speculate he was faking his mental illness to avoid leaving $30 million on the table for the 21 dates left on his tour.

West’s opportunistic wife, the socialite Kim Kardashian, seized upon West’s hospital admission to leak the rumor that the couple were getting a divorce.

Kardashian backed off the rumor on Thursday after only a few blogs and media outlets took the bait.
