The biracial granddaughter of acting legend Tom Hanks was spotted publicly for the first time. The baby girl is the love child of his son Bret Hanks, 26.
The baby was spotted on Dec. 13 with her black mom, Tiffany Miles, who was running errands near her home in Indio, Calif.
Miles gave birth to the baby girl back in April after a brief interlude of unprotected sex with Chet. Hanks, 60, and his wife Rita Wilson have welcomed the baby into their lives, according to In Touch Weekly.
Chet, who admits he was a stumbling drunk, has since released a video crediting the baby with his sobriety.
“I want to share something today because it’s about to be shared anyway in the press, which is the fact that I have a daughter,” Chet said.
“I do have a daughter, she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me, she’s the reason why I turned my life around and got sober. I’ve been sober for over a year and a half from everything.
“It hasn’t been easy making all my mistakes in public but I’m figuring it out. I’m doing the best that I can,” he added.
After their brief interlude, Chet and Miles remain in touch. He complimented her parenting skills, saying she is “one of the nicest people I know”.
He added: “I’m just thankful that my daughter has such a great mom”.
