Celebrity transgender Chaz Bono expressed outrage minutes after Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions was confirmed as President Donald Trump’s Attorney General.
“For 8 glorious years the US AG cared about our rights, people of color, woman, LGBT, ethnic&religious minority’s, handicapped, but no more,” Bono tweeted Wednesday night.
Sessions was confirmed by a Senate vote of 52-47 after 2 weeks of filibustering and other delay tactics by the Democrats.
Prominent gays such as Star Trek actor George Takei vocalized their displeasure at Sessions’ confirmation.
“Congratulations, America. We have an oil man at State, a billionaire idiot at Education, and a racist as Attorney General. #SwampRats,” tweeted George Takei.
