Rap mogul Sean “Puffy” Combs is recovering from his 3rd knee surgery in 12 months. The 47-year-old music producer posted Instagram photos of himself laid up in a hospital bed.
“Just had my final knee surgery. They said I’d never run again,” he wrote in a photo caption.
Combs has struggled with knee pain ever since he fell through a hole in the stage at the 2015 BET Awards in Los Angeles.
Next to his hospital bed is an infusion pump that delivers potent pain medicine whenever he presses a button.
“God puts us all thru things for reason. It’s up to us to learn through the things that he puts us through! Sometimes you have to go through the pain to get to the joy. This journey has brought me closer to God. Closer to my family. And most importantly closer to myself. As this has been God’s will,” he wrote in a photo caption.
Combs was visited in the hospital by his 5 children.
In one photo of himself and his 2 sons, Christian, 18, and Justin, 23, he wrote: “I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have my sons by my side these last two years! They have been more than sons they have been my support system. NOW LETS BALL!!!!! #RealLove”.
Another photo shows his three adorable daughters, 10-year-old twins D’Lila and Jessie, and 10-year-old Chance Combs who is 5 months older than her sisters.
Combs’ hospital room is filled with flowers and teddy bears from his baby mamas, ex-girlfriends and other well wishers.
He paid special attention to an oversized teddy bear and flowers sent by rapper French Montana. “Love you baby bro,” Combs wrote under a photo of himself holding up the flowers.
He didn’t post any photos of flowers sent by the women in his life.
