Keshia Knight Pulliam

Keshia Knight Pulliam’s ex-husband, Ed Hartwell, has had a change of heart. The former NFL player filed a court petition seeking joint custody of their infant daughter.

Pulliam married Hartwell on New Year’s Day 2016 after being engaged for about a month.

Pulliam gave birth to Ella Grace in late January 2017, and Hartwell submitted a DNA test that proved he was the father.

The former Cosby Show star split from Hartwell last summer, days after announcing her pregnancy. He subsequently filed for divorce.

Like most vindictive ex-wives, Pulliam reportedly wants Hartwell nowhere near their child.

Hartwell submitted a letter from his ex-wife, former Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Lisa Wu, to support his petition for joint custody, according to TMZ.com.

In the letter, Lisa Wu praised him as a father and wrote:

“I am never worried about my child when he is with his dad, I know his dad will do everything within his power to love, protect and provide for EJ while he is not with me… I am positive that he will put his daughter’s best interest first as he has shown with my children.”

Hartwell also states in the documents he is happy to pay child support.

Hartwell was married to Wu between 2005 and 2011 and they have a nine-year-old son together. He also helped raise her two sons from her previous marriage to R&B crooner Keith Sweat.
