Facebook killer Steve Stephens was in a hurry when he placed an order at McDonald’s fast food restaurant in Erie, Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning.
An employee working the drive-thru window recognized the white Ford Fusion Stephens was sitting in as he waited to place his order.
Another employee called 911 to report the car was the one police were looking for in a nationwide alert in connection with a murder in Cleveland.
When Stephens drove around to the pickup window, the restaurant manager tried to stall by telling him the fries weren’t ready.
“I can’t wait!” Stephens snapped at her. “I need my McNuggets!”
Stephens stepped on the gas and fled before police arrived.
But Pennsylvania state patrol soon caught up with him about 3 miles away. After a brief chase, Stephens pulled over and shot himself in the head, likely with the same handgun he used to kill retiree Robert Godwin, Sr. in cold blood on Sunday.
