President Donald Trump says he would be “honored” to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Tump made the controversial statement when asked by Bloomberg News if he would meet with the dictator.
“If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it,” Trump told Bloomberg News on Monday. “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.”
“Most political people would never say that,” he added, “but I’m telling you under the right circumstances I would meet with him. We have breaking news.”
Trump also poked the hornet’s nest last week when he complimented Kim by calling him a “tough cookie”.
Kim has increased his threats of nuclear war and annihilating the United States. But Trump doesn’t appear to be worried since North Korea can’t seem to get their missile program off the ground.
