Hollywood power couple David Charvet and Brooke Burke-Charvet were shocked that their neighbors, rap mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, 47, and his wife Beyonce Knowles, 37, filed a noise complaint against them.
Beyonce and Jay-Z, who welcomed twins in June, filed a noise complaint with the police against the Charvets for ongoing construction at their sprawling Malibu estate. The construction begins just after dawn and ends just before sunset daily.
According to In Touch magazine, the noise is interrupting the children’s’ nap time.
But David’s rep disputed the noise complaint in an interview with Page Six on Thursday.
“David and Brooke are truly some of the easiest people one could ever encounter, and David is incredibly respectful of all the residents in Malibu. The construction team that work for David are of the highest level. Every project his company works on is strictly enforced and abides by all building codes. It is imperative for David’s business that all the legal guidelines of building in Malibu are followed (which are as tough as they come).”
Jay-Z and Beyonce are renting the $54.2 million Malibu house temporarily until their Bel-Air home is renovated. The couple reportedly paid $135 million for the mega mansion which boasts 11 bathrooms, a recording studio, a 15-car garage, and separate staff quarters.
