‘When Love Kills’ tells the true story of teen mother Falicia Blakely (played by Li’l Mama) who was sentenced to life in prison for killing and robbing three Atlanta men in 2002.

Blakely was a product of a broken home who lost touch with her single mother after moving to Atlanta with her. At 15, Blakely used a fake ID card to earn a living as a nude dance at an Atlanta strip club.

No one knows why the then 19-year-old mother-of a 2-year-old son went on a killing spree on August 15, 2002. Blakely and her accomplice, Ameshia Ervin, killed Claudell Christmas, 35, and Raymond Goodwin, 34.

The next day, Aug. 16, they murdered Lemetrius Twitty, 29, in cold blood.

Blakely’s lawyer, Ken Driggs, said his client’s rough childhood contributed to her life of crime. But the judge didn’t buy his excuses. Blakely was sentenced to life in prison without parole. She is now 34 years old. Her son is 16.
