Tamar Braxton released her latest single “Blind” off her Bluebird of Happiness album, which is set for release on September 29. “Blind” is Tamar’s cover version of Etta James‘ single “I’d Rather Go Blind”.
Braxton’s vocal lessons really paid off on this emotional, uptempo ballad about a jilted lover who can’t bear to see her man in another woman’s arms.
- I’d rather go blind, blind, blind
Than to see you with her, tonight
I’m done with your lies
But I can’t say goodbye
So I’d rather go blind
Cause you was all mine, all, mine
And we had the time of our lives
Then I lost my sight
When I saw you that night
So I’d rather go blind
I’d rather go blind
