Television journalist Angela Rye has been targeted with death threats, according to court documents she filed recently.
Rye, who works as a political analyst for CNN, detailed the threats from an obsessed fan in court papers obtained by WENN.com.
Rye revealed the messages sent to her phone, social media and email were annoying at first, but they got scary when the sender started threatening her.
One email, sent on 5 August, read, “Yr (your) dumb dead a– gonna be found in a river”, while another read, “Let me catch ya a– I’m put the paws on ya (you).”
Angela’s current boyfriend is rapper Common.
via WENN.com — According to TMZ.com, the LAPD discovered that some of the messages referenced locations Rye and Common had visited that were not publicized.
The LAPD’s Threat Management division is now said to be on the case, after obtaining a warrant to investigate the sender’s social media.
Common was first linked to Rye earlier this year, and opened up about the relationship during an interview on SiriusXM in October, gushing: “There’s a definite connection with Angela Rye. She’s a wonderful woman, I’m dating, I’m happy right now, and she’s an incredible human being.”
