The arraignment for Tory Lanez, the trouble singer accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, was postponed until November.

Lanez, 28, was hit with 1 count of assault with a firearm and 1 count of possession of a loaded, unregistered gun. The hearing was postponed on Tuesday, Oct. 13, according to court records.

The musician, born Daystar Peterson, attended the hearing via phone in an L.A. County courtroom, and since the hearing was postponed, he didn't enter a plea.

According to TMZ, Peterson was ordered to stay 100 yards away from the rapper, and not contact her. He was also ordered to surrender any guns he owns.

His bail was set at $190K, which he'll be posting via a bondsman present at the hearing, TMZ reported.

Megan, 26, was allegedly shot in the foot during an altercation in an SUV after the pair attended a pool party in the Hollywood Hills, amid the pandemic in July.

The hearing was held on the same day Megan wrote an op-ed in The New York Times in which she spoke up for Black female victims of domestic violence.

Megan said she's not afraid of being criticized. She denied being in a relationship with Peterson.

"I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man," she wrote. "After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him. We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place."

She also addressed the criticism she received for not speaking out earlier.

"My initial silence about what happened was out of fear for myself and my friends. Even as a victim. I have been met with skepticism and judgment. The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted."

Tamar Braxton's boyfriend rushed to court file for protection against the R&B singer and reality TV star, reports TMZ.com.

David Adefeso filed for a restraining order Tuesday in L.A., accusing Tamar of abusing him in a domestic violence incident, TMZ has learned.

David is asking a judge to grant him a restraining order against Tamar. It's unclear if she attacked him and if he has any injuries.

The court hasn't approved his request just yet -- TMZ reached out to Tamar's team to get more info.

The 43-year-old R&B star was hospitalized in Los Angeles on July 16 after David found her disoriented and lethargic in her hotel suite. She had apparently swallowed a handful of prescription pills.

David told 911 that Tamar was threatening to kill herself. He also mentioned her WE tv beef to cops at the time.

Braxton family sources told TMZ they believe she's changed since hooking up with him -- claiming her mood seems to align with his.

They said David comes off as controlling in Tamar's reality show, and that he's been quite involved in her business decisions of late.

Tamar's new single "Crazy Kind of Love" peaked at #2 on Billboard and Media Base charts. "Crazy Kind of Love", the first single off the soundtrack to the upcoming theatrical release TRUE TO THE GAME 2, is scheduled to be in theaters nationwide late November 2020.

Lira Galore filed a restraining order against her baby daddy, Quality Control Record's CEO Pierre "Pee" Thomas. In the document, obtained by TMZ, Galore, who was born Tylira Mercer, said Thomas is threatening and unpredictable, even when he's in a courtroom.

Mercer wants a judge to order Thomas to stay away from her and their infant daughter.

Mercer filed docs seeking a temporary protective order against Thomas for threatening her last week during a court hearing in their custody battle for 9-month-old, Khaleesi Mercer.

Mercer is best known for her brief engagement to rapper Rick Ross (pictured).

Last month Mercer accused Thomas of violent abuse, claiming he beat her during her first 8 months of pregnancy with his child. She's seeking at least $15 million for her injuries.

Mercer says in new docs that because of the past alleged violence, she's terrified of Thomas. She claims Thomas kept trying to speak to her during a hearing, including approaching her in an "intimidating nature" and attempted to get her phone number.

She claims while they were sitting across from each other in a conference room, he kept glaring at her and made her extremely uncomfortable. She says he got caught taking pictures of her on his cell phone.

Mercer says when she and her lawyer tried to leave the room, Thomas blocked the doorway and harassed her. She says they had to call a deputy to escort her safely out of the building.

Mercer claims the ordeal was traumatic for her and says even her lawyer "for the first time in her legal career, felt unsafe in the courtroom."

She's asking for a court order to keep Thomas 100 yards away and to not have any contact with her or their child.

Thomas denies he's been abusive and has called Mercer's claims a "15 million dollar shake down."
