Police arrested Rajon Rondo in Indiana on marijuana and gun charges over the weekend.

The former NBA All-Star was arrested Sunday in Jackson County after a traffic stop.

Troopers searched his car and found a handgun and marijuana. Rondo can’t have a handgun because of a no-contact order.

Troopers initiated a search after they smelled marijuana inside the car. A search warrant is not needed if officers smell weed.

Drugs and Gun Charges

Police charged Rondo with unlawful possession of a firearm, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, WCVB reported.

The former Boston Celtics star posted bond and was released from jail Sunday night.

Rondo, 37, won NBA rings with the Celtics in 2008 and the Lakers in 2020.

The Louisville native never shied away from confrontations. He had frequent verbal altercations with other players and fans in the stands.

Rondo often charged into the stands to confront fans who heckled him.

She claimed Rondo pulled a gun and threatened her and their children.

Rondo and Bachelor share 2 children, daughter Rayelle, 16, and a son named Rajon Rondo Jr.

Bachelor and Rondo settled the first no-contact order. But, she filed another protective order last year that is still in effect.
