A frail-looking Robert De Niro was assisted out of a car by a caretaker as he arrived on the set of the film The Irishman in New York City on Monday. The 74-year-old actor hobbled on forearm crutches as he arrived to film a scene with Anna Paquin. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, is based on the 2004 book I Heard You Paint Houses. De Niro plays a mob hitman in the flick.
Robert sported white hair and wore opaque white cataract contacts in his eyes that made him look 10 years older.
De Niro has been a vocal anti-Trump activist over the past year. He never misses an opportunity to bash Trump in public. De Niro went on a profanity-laced rant toward President Trump on Tuesday, calling the president “Our baby-in-chief” and the “jerk-off-in-chief”.
“This f—ing idiot is the president. It’s The Emperor’s New Clothes. The guy is a f—ing fool,” De Niro said.
