Teyana Taylor is embarking on another business venture. This time she is opening a 1990s-themed nail salon in New York City. The salon, which she named after her and basketball star Iman Shumpert‘s 2-year-old daughter, will be called Junie Bee Nails.
Junie is the nickname Teyana and Shump gave their daughter Iman Tayla Shumpert, Jr.
The salon will have a ’90s vibe and she plans to sell ghetto fabulous merchandise and clothing that reminds her clients of the good times we used to have in the hood.
“I’m talking everything from Dapper Dan style Uni’s, to Door Knockers, Bamboo earrings, baby hairs, Airbrushed nails, 54’11’s and all that other fly shit! The true essence of that 90’s Flavor,” she wrote.
Teyana will open her salon in Harlem at the end of the month, and the 27-year-old star is currently hiring nail technicians to work at the salon. Teyana plans to conduct the interviews herself.
“This is so exciting,” she adds. “Also been a long time coming! S/o (shout out) to my partner @cocamichelle we’ve put in so much work make this happen!”
Teyana’s new beauty venture comes almost two years after she launched a membership-only exercise website, Fade 2 Fitness which sells workout clothing and exercise gear.
The singer also promoted her and Shump’s reality TV show on Instagram.com on Wednesday.
“The @TeyanaandIman and @babyjunie4 show is coming to @VH1 on March 26th!” She wrote in the caption of a photo of a shirtless Shump.
