Cardi B is not impressed with the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements that arose after Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct against a plethora of women.
The 25-year-old Bronx native is pleased to see the topic of sexual harassment being discussed, but she isn’t convinced the #Metoo message matters to hip-hop stars, whose slutty behavior is part of their sex appeal.
“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a f**k,” Cardi told Cosmopolitan U.S. magazine. “When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their d**ks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a h*e. It don’t matter.’”
Cardi is also skeptical of some of the men who are publicly voicing their support for the campaigns.
“These producers and directors, they’re not woke, they’re scared,” she insisted.
