It took forever, but one-hit rapper Cardi B is finally set to drop her debut studio album next month. The 25-year-old Bronx native released the artwork for her album, titled Invasion of Privacy, last night on Instagram.com.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper captioned the image, “My album cover !!! LADIES AND GENTS ! My album INVASION OF PRIVACY will be out next week April 6!!!!!!!”
The album artwork features her sitting in a yellow chair wearing a high-fashion monochrome B&W outfit and a yellow wig. A recording sign in the upper left corner implies that Cardi, who licks her teeth for the cameras, is being recorded in a room similar to a reality TV series confession booth.
Music critics wonder aloud if Cardi can match the success of her #1 hit “Bodak Yellow” which catapulted her to overnight fame in 2017.
She has come close — by hopping on collabos with other rappers — but Invasion of Privacy is her first solo effort.
